Bharat NCAP gives buyers a common safety reference for eligible passenger cars. The programme assesses adult occupant protection, child occupant protection and safety-assist technology under its applicable test process. The star result matters; the scorecard and tested configuration matter too.

| Check | Why a buyer should care |
|---|---|
| Tested vehicle and assessment date | Shows what configuration the result represents |
| Adult occupant protection detail | Adds context beyond the headline result |
| Child occupant protection detail | Supports a family buyer's restraint and fitment questions |
| Safety-assist equipment | Helps confirm which systems contributed to the score |
Match the rating to your booked trim
Confirm airbags, electronic stability features, belt reminders, tyres and restraint provisions on the exact variant. Do not assume that a higher trim's equipment is present throughout the range. If there is a difference, ask the dealer for a written equipment sheet and check the vehicle handbook.
Safety continues after delivery
Star ratings do not reduce the importance of correctly used belts, properly installed child restraints, healthy tyres, functioning brakes and appropriate speed. They are a strong comparison tool, not a replacement for ordinary safety behaviour.
Use the rating as one clear input alongside seating fit, visibility, service support and the features that are actually standard on your chosen car.
